Restoring Balance & Resolving Pain Through Time-Tested Medicine

Acupuncture is the cornerstone of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a medical system that has successfully treated the human body for over 3,000 years. At Kellie Krasovec Acupuncture, we move beyond simple symptom management. We use acupuncture as a sophisticated tool to signal the body to heal itself.

Kellie Krasovec brings over 20 years of clinical experience to every treatment. Utilizing the Balance Method for immediate pain relief and advanced Pulse Diagnosis to detect internal disharmony, she creates a custom treatment plan that targets the root cause of your condition. Whether you are suffering from chronic pain, complex internal illness, or stress-induced anxiety, acupuncture works to regulate your nervous system and restore your body’s natural state of health.

What You’ll Experience

We understand that for some, the idea of needles can be intimidating. However, our patients often describe their sessions as the most relaxing part of their week. Here is what you can expect during a session:

  • In-Depth Consultation: We start by listening. We review your health narrative, symptoms, and medical history to understand the full picture of your health.
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Kellie uses the Shen-Hammer system of Pulse Diagnosis. By feeling the quality of the pulse at the wrist, she gains insight into the condition of your internal organs and energy systems.
  • Painless Insertion: We use sterile, single-use needles that are hair-thin (about the width of a cat’s whisker). Most patients feel only a slight sensation upon insertion, followed by a feeling of heaviness or warmth.
  • Deep Relaxation: Once the needles are placed, you will rest for 20–40 minutes. During this time, your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) is activated, allowing deep healing to occur. Many patients fall asleep.
  • Adjunct Therapies: Depending on your needs, your session may include complementary therapies such as CuppingGua Sha, or Moxibustion to enhance circulation and relief.

Benefits of Acupuncture

A powerful combination of ancient wisdom and modern technology. We pair Cosmetic Acupuncture (AKA Aesthetic Acupuncture) with Microneedling to stimulate collagen production and repair tissue.

Acupuncture is known for its ability to treat a wide variety of conditions without the side effects of pharmaceuticals.

  • Pain Relief: Effective for back pain, migraines, arthritis, and sports injuries by triggering the release of natural painkillers (endorphins).
  • Reduced Inflammation: Signals the body to lower inflammation markers, helping with autoimmune issues and joint pain.
  • Hormonal Balance: Regulates the endocrine system to support fertility, menstrual health, and menopause transition.
  • Stress & Anxiety Relief: Shifts the body out of “fight or flight” mode, reducing cortisol levels and improving sleep quality.
  • Improved Digestion: regulate gastrointestinal function to alleviate IBS, bloating, and indigestion.
  • Faster Recovery: Accelerates tissue repair after surgery, injury, or illness (including respiratory recovery).

Ancient Wisdom, Modern Results

How It Works:

Chinese Medicine views the body as an energetic system. Qi (pronounced “chee”) is the vital energy that flows through the body in specific pathways known as Meridians. Think of these meridians like rivers flowing through a landscape; they transport energy and blood to nourish your organs and tissues.

When these rivers flow freely, the body is in balance and health. However, stress, injury, poor diet, or environmental factors can create “dams” or blockages in these rivers. When Qi is blocked, pain and illness occur.

Acupuncture needles act as keys to unlock these dams. By inserting needles into specific points along the meridians, we clear the blockages and re-establish the smooth flow of Qi. From a modern biomedical perspective, this process stimulates the nervous system, increases blood flow to specific areas, and triggers the release of hormones and neurotransmitters that promote systemic healing.
